Terrorism Potential at the Beijing Olympics (Updated!)
Terrorism Potential at the Beijing Olympics (Updated!)
- by Mark Lerner
Dateline: Thursday August 7, 2008 -- The Chinese have made a BIG deal about starting their olympics on the eighth day of the eighth month at 8:08PM local time. Also -- if you add up the numerological vibes of 8-8-2008 that greater number is equal to 26 which reduces to 8.
26 itself is a BIG deal in Hebraic numerology as it represents the numerological equivalent to H V H Y (this is given from right to left, the way Hebrew is written) or the name of God (Jehovah) in the Jewish religion. Those letters equal 10 (Y), 5 (H), 6 (V) and 5 again (H) or a total of 26. By the way, the 26th element in the Table of Elements is Iron.
Iron is the metal always associated with the red planet Mars. China has been known as "Red China" (due to its link to Communism and the "Red" scare since the rise of the USSR in 1917) and the Chinese flag is red.
At the center of every hemoglobin molecule in the human blood stream is an atom of iron -- which is what makes human blood turn RED.
When Red China became a nation -- October 1, 1949 at 3:15PM in Beijing -- there was a dynamic, but highly willful and aggressive Mars-Pluto union from 15 Leo to 18 Leo.
Now -- as this Beijing Olympics begin -- the Sun at 17 Leo is exactly igniting the Mars-Pluto potent and possibly volatile-explosive union in the Red China birthchart.
The traditional Feng Shui symbol -- that incorporates the ancient Tao or Yin-Yang image at its center -- has 8 sides.
Buddhism -- which began in India, but then swept through all of Asia, including China -- has its famous 8 sacred and "right" principles of human conduct and behavior.
The I-Ching -- the phenomenal oracle of ancient China -- has 64 hexagrams and 64 is 8 times 8.
Fairly recently, the Chinese government raffled off a unique license plate that had a whole bunch of 8's (maybe 8 of them!) and only one person received that license plate in all of China (I believe).
Apparently, the Chinese are not too thrilled with the number 4 -- possibly because it is half of 8.
In most schools of numerology, 8 = Saturn and 4 = Uranus. These planets are exactly opposing on our Election Day (Nov. 4, 2008) -- for their first of 5 oppositions over the next 2 years.
It's hard to comprehend the lower-level of numerology that would give 8 such vast powers and relegate 4 to destruction, death or negativity (a view that I believe is widespread in China)
Note: It is true that 8 = the octave and represents infinity (8 seen on its side) and has great potential to increase a person's wealth and personal power, but with all that wealth and power can come abuse and self-destructive tendencies. I find it impossible to believe that the revolutionary planet Uranus "rules" the number 4 -- something thrown around willy-nilly by many numerology writers. It is possible that Uranus is connected to "Master Numbers" -- 11, 22, 33, 44, etc, as master numbers are high, vibratory powers in alliance with the advanced energy-field of Uranus.
Keep in mind that 8 also connects to Scorpio -- the eighth sign of the zodiac, often affiliated with death, mysteries, secrets, the unknown, the underworld, extremes, trials and tribulations, catharsis, purging, regeneration and rebirth.
October is actually the eighth month of the old Julian calendar and the word itself has "oct" at the beginning which is the Latin for "8." Could this be behind the Red Chinese selection for OCTOBER 1, 1949 as its birth within the global web of nations?
In ancient Pythagorean numerology, 4 was honored because when you add 1, 2, 3 and 4, you get 10 -- a number the Pythagoreans considered almost as perfect as the Monad (1) since 10 is 1 but raised to the next level (10).
In Pythagorean numerology, 8 was also greatly revered, but somewhat feared as well -- possibly due to its enormous power for good or ill.
In their system, 2 and 9 didn't come off so well since 2 was the division of 1-ness while 9 was the almost-perfection that wouldn't arrive until you reached the magic 10 -- and the rise to an exalted level of "number-ness."
The main reason I am writing this short piece is that while the Chinese have orchestrated everything in these summer olympics around the potency and magic of 8, they have also initiated these games on the day of a Juno station in Sagittarius while Mars and Neptune are forming an awkward and off-kilter, 150-degree link in the sky and during the one day of the month when there is the potentially crisis-producing First Quarter Sun-Moon Phase (energizing 17 degrees of Leo and Scorpio) -- thereby triggering China's natal, volatile and provocative Mars-Pluto union.
While the positive side of Juno is emotional empowerment, joy in marriage and primary partnerships, equality, fairness, honest diplomacy and the creation of much beauty, charm and elegance, the shadow side is terrorism and rage by the disenfranchised -- particularly by those radical groups who may be small in numbers, but nevertheless rich in their righteous indignation about having no power and being constantly controlled and manipulated by higher-ups and authority figures.
As a matter of fact, when you look at the start of the Beijing Olympics, you will see the asteroid Juno as the most elevated celestial body -- thereby overlooking or overshadowing the entire proceedings. That's great for pageantry, style and a charm offensive by the Chinese, but will they be able to control dissent, demonstrations and possible terrorist acts for the couple of weeks when the olympic games are being televised all over the world?
There are many "terrorist" groups -- connected to Tibetan nationals, the Taiwanese, and Muslim extremists in northwestern China (where 16 Chinese policemen were just killed on Monday August 4). There are also the pervasive and yet often belittled "anti-globalists" who keep demonstrating (often violently) at G-7 and G-8 annual financial conferences around the globe.
Another unusual theme related to Juno -- as described by the late, great astrologer and asteroid researcher Eleanor Bach -- is weather disturbances (including hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes). Thus, Juno has much to do with any ENVIRONMENT and this is partly an extension of her power to create beauty (or its opposite -- ugliness) on any home stage.
Well, the Chinese have already failed a major test because their own city is heavily polluted and they have been racing against the clock to clean the air in and over Beijing before the olympics begin. They actually forced millions of Beijing residents to cease driving to work during the run-up to the olympics and while they are happening -- thereby increasing a kind of urban nightmare of public transportation.
In an odd twist and synchronicity, as the olympic torch was passing through the city of Chengdu this past Tuesday, an earthquake occurred. This is exactly where about 70,000 people died during the May 12 earthquake.
While earthquakes are not necessarily caused by Juno activity (the Earth, Sun, Eclipses, and Uranus-Neptune are often involved), Juno is definitely involved in the atmospheric disturbances that make earthquakes more likely to happen in any given area. And according to many psychic researchers, pent-up and repressed human emotions -- on a vast scale -- are also part of the reason why devastating weather-atmospheric storms and earthquakes have such unusual timing relative to events and places within the human kingdom.
My hope and prayer is that these olympics go off as planned and with no shocking and upsetting acts of terrorism. However, it would be foolish to believe that the still totalitarian-minded governing elite of China is not expecting and preparing for the very terrorist acts that they fear can ruin and mar this beautifully-orchestrated and carefully-designed athletic showcase to the world.
The Chinese are betting totally on the power of numerology and the essence of 8-ness to be on their side -- making this into one of the greatest summer olympics ever. However, by forgetting about the power of astrology, they may just be opening their nation and its wondrous capital city to a firestorm of dis-asters (the words "disaster" and "catastrophe" both mean to go "against the stars"!).
Major Update: August 9, 2008 -- Just 2 days after writing this article, the awesome power of astrology is revealed!
(a) On the day of the Juno station -- August 8 -- as the world is preparing for the opening of the Olympics, a potentially disastrous war erupts between Russia and Georgia. The shadow side of Juno is rage and violence by the dispossessed and "small." Russia may still be a vast land -- compared to its tiny southern neighbor of Georgia, and the even smaller breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia on the Black Sea -- but Russia is also a diminished land in size compared to its former giant, superpower status as the USSR from 1917 to 1991. Already nearly 2,000 people may have been killed and terror is filling the lives of millions of people in this region of the world.
(b) Today -- August 9 in Beijing -- a Chinese man stabbed to death one, male relative of the coach of the American Volleyball Team and sent a female relative to the hospital in serious condition. The man then jumped to his own death from the Bell Tower in central Beijing. This Bell Tower is red (color of Mars) and, in the traditional Tarot Major Trumps, the Tower Card (#16) is connected to the planet Mars. By the way, 16 = 8 + 8. This attack was unprovoked, but immediately there are now great concerns about safety and security matters for all the athletes and visitors during these summer Olympics in Beijing. In addition, Pro-Tibetan demonstrators have already fought with police in Beijing in the last 24 hours.
If and when more violence occurs at these Beijing Olympics -- in concert with the unfortunate, lower vibrational energies of Juno stationary in Sagittarius -- I will present a new report at the end of this feature.
