Terri Schiavo's Ordeal: Updated 3/31

  Dateline: Eugene, Oregon Wednesday March 23, 2005 – I wasn’t planning on writing an article on the sad and desperate plight of Terri Schiavo, her husband Michael, and her parents and family members. Last Friday I wrote about Baseball and Steroids and made that our new Top Story. Then I spent 7 hours on Sunday (March 20 and the first day of spring) researching and composing the Mercury Poisoning article. While doing that work, I watched the U.S. Senate and then House of Representatives go to extraordinary lengths to save one woman’s life.
  
  Whether rightly motivated or not (it’s not my place at this time to judge our legislators), the proceedings at the U.S. Capitol were rare and historic. Michael Schiavo – who wants Terri’s feeding tube permanently removed so she can finally pass away from the Earth plane – was horrified by the actions being taken in Washington, D.C. and called Tom DeLay (Republican Majority Leader in the House – under his own ethical cloud of suspicion) a “slithering snake.” On the other hand, Mary and Robert Schindler – Terri’s parents – were clinging to a thread of hope that our national representatives might help their daughter remain fed.
  
  All of this led to President Bush signing the special legislation (asking a Federal Court in Florida to rule on the re-insertion of the feeding tube) at 1:11AM EST on March 21, 2005 (as reported in a cover story in USA Today on March 22, 2005). As of now (morning of March 23), not only has a U.S. District Judge (James Whittemore) refused to allow the feeding tube re-inserted, but a three-panel Federal Appeals Court in Atlanta voted 2-1 not to act in this case.
  
  What’s left are probably two last efforts by Terri Schiavo’s parents and lawyers: to ask the Florida legislature to enact a new statute regarding right-to-die cases (that would then have to go through Florida courts to determine its constitutionality) or to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to make a decision. The U.S. Supreme Court has already decided twice not to review this case and the Florida legislature has not sided with Terri Schiavo’s parents in the past.
  
  The astrology of this national drama is rather remarkable.
  
  First off, I scoured the web (mostly via Google) and could not come up with Terri’s birthdata. Later on – when it is located or presented – I will add a postscript to this story. *[See NEW P.S. at the close of this story on her birthdate -- just received 5 hours after I finished this article!] We do know from news reports that she is 41 years old. That puts her birth in 1963 or early 1964. At age 41, every person is going through the same planetary “right of passage” – transiting Neptune squaring its natal placement, and transiting Uranus opposing its natal placement. It is almost always a time of potential confusion and chaos (shadow side of Neptune), shock and radical change (shadow side of Uranus). Nevertheless, spiritual revelations and personality transformations of a positive kind can happen, too.
  
  What we do know about her birth in 1963 or early 1964 are the following. Jupiter was almost definitely in Aries. Jupiter equates with the social arena, expansion of consciousness, the fields of education, philosophy and religion – plus the court system! Currently, Jupiter is retrograding in Libra and therefore is in opposition to Terri’s natal Jupiter. By the way – as we will see shortly – on February 25, 1990 (when she collapsed from her heart stopping) Jupiter had just made a direct station at 0 degrees and 49 minutes of Cancer the night before. This exact area of the zodiac is very crucial to examining this story from an astrological perspective.
  
  Saturn at her birth is in Aquarius. While the degree is unknown, transiting Neptune now is in Aquarius and the shadow side of Neptune relates to confusion, nebulosity, illusions, deceptions and medical concepts like “persistent vegetative state.” Since she was born with Neptune in mid-Scorpio, the current Neptune in Aquarius is not only squaring its own placement, but it is within orb of a conjunction with her Saturn. [More about Saturn below, but keep in mind that Saturn stopped and made a direct station on Monday March 21, 2005 when President Bush signed the bill. Saturn rules authority and paternal figures. We have the largely paternal U.S. Congress trying to help decide this matter. We have the key father figure of the nation – the president – signing the bill. We have Terri’s own father totally in support of this action, but we have primarily male judges, doctors and her husband on the other side of the issue.]
  
  Uranus at her birth was in early Virgo and is now in Pisces. This fulfills the “Uranus opposition” part of the rite of passage mentioned above. Every person experiences Uranus opposing Uranus between around age 39 and 42 because this planet takes nearly 84 years to make one full orbit through the zodiac. Earlier I used the words “shock” and “radical change” regarding a Uranus-Uranus polarity. You can add uncertainty, instability, revolution, surprises, topsy-turvy and lightning-like conditions to this Uranian list.
  
  With Neptune located in Scorpio at her birth and Neptune now in Aquarius, she is not only right in the midst of the precise Neptune-Neptune 90-degree, frictional reality, but this becomes intense, extra-powerful and transfixes the nation’s attention because the square is happening in fixed, power signs. Neptune also rules television and – along with Mars – fanatical, extreme or idealistic crusades based on a religious, ethical or moral belief.
  
  Pluto was located between 10 and 15 degrees of Virgo when she was born – not too far from her natal Uranus in the same sign. Therefore, the current movement of Uranus in Pisces is not only opposing her natal Uranus, but also opposing her natal Pluto. Pluto is deeply connected with right-to-life and right-to-death issues, death-rebirth themes, the underworld, extremes, terrifying ordeals, catharsis and metamorphosis. Realize as well that Virgo is the key zodiacal sign of health or illness, diet and nutrition. It is believed that the reason Terri Schiavo’s heart stopped on February 25, 1990 was due to a potassium imbalance brought on by an eating disorder.
  
  While much has been covered so far in this article, we are barely scratching the surface. You will see two charts presented below. The first is for the February 25, 1990 New Moon in Pisces. While the time of day of Terri’s collapse is not known, I have created a chart for the exact moment of the New Moon that just happened to occur that morning. I calculated the chart for Pinellas Park, Florida (where Terri presently resides at a hospice). This is an amazing map! The second chart is for the exact minute when President Bush signed this historic legislation. From what I have heard, the U.S. Congress may never have acted in this manner before – trying to extend and save the life of one individual. Like the New Moon map for February 25, 1990, the Bush signing chart is extraordinary.
  
  What is most notable at first glance in looking at the February 25, 1990 chart is Neptune rising and Chiron setting. We have already indicated that Neptune can create massive confusion and fogginess when negative in effect. Idealistic, spiritual and religious causes are also strongly associated with this planet. Chiron brings in its mythological meaning of the “wounded healer” and the need to eliminate pain and suffering. Could we have a more symbolic polarity crossing the horizon on the day of Terri’s collapse and subsequent brain damage? [Note: Chiron at Terri’s birth was somewhere between 10 and 15 Pisces. Thus, it was trining (120 degrees and flowing) to her natal Neptune in Scorpio, but also opposite (180 degrees) her natal Pluto in Virgo.]
  
  Another major celestial signature from February 25, 1990 is a Mars-Saturn approaching conjunction from 19+ to 21+ Capricorn. As President Bush signed the legislation (second chart), Saturn in the sky was stationing and turning direct at 20+ Cancer – EXACTLY opposite both Mars and Saturn from February 1990 and EXACTLY opposite their midpoint. The Mars/Saturn midpoint in astrology is considered one of the three most troubling ones medically and health-wise – along with Mars/Neptune and Saturn/Neptune. Mars and Saturn are the traditional “lesser” (Mars) and “greater” (Saturn) malefics. Mars in medical astrology connects with fevers, burns, accidents, blood disorders, brain damage (particularly from lack of oxygen reaching the brain – precisely what happened to Terri Schiavo on February 25, 1990), and anything acute. Saturn in medical astrology connects with long-term disabilities, a patient’s immobility or restrictions, and anything CHRONIC. [Saturn’s Greek name was Chronos and that’s how we get the link between Saturn and time. Think here the words chronology and chronological time. Along with the main article in Tuesday’s USA Today on the Terri Schiavo case was the key TIMELINE (Saturn) of significant dates and events – starting from February 25, 1990 (the beginning of her medical troubles).
  
  You need to keep in mind that 20+ Capricorn-Cancer is also the Heliocentric Orbit of Pluto as it intersects with our zodiac, the Earth’s ecliptic or path around the Sun. Heliocentric Nodes move very slowly. 20+ Capricorn-Cancer is an area of the zodiac super-saturated with Plutonic vibrations – extremism, terrorism, the underworld, death-rebirth themes, etc. And this is the Mars/Saturn midpoint from February 25, 1990 and the current direct station of Saturn right now! You couldn’t ask for more of a textbook case in medical astrology.
  
  You will recall that earlier I mentioned the importance of Jupiter making a direct station (evening of February 24, 1990 in Florida) at 0 degrees and 49 minutes of Cancer. Jupiter links with our court system, the fields of education, philosophy and religion. It is said to be exalted in Cancer, but Cancer also rules the stomach in medical astrology and the entire subject of food, nurturance, mothering and the family. Do you see how Jupiter is located in the sixth house of health/illness, diet, nutrition, crisis and personal service in this New Moon chart from February 25, 1990? Beyond this it is also a fact that on March 21, 2005 when President Bush signed the legislation, we not only experienced Saturn stopping and going direct, but the largest asteroid Ceres stopping and turning retrograde (25+ Scorpio).
  
  The fantastic research by asteroid pioneer Eleanor Bach from the 1970s to the 1990s indicated that Ceres is intimately connected with parent-child relationships, the theme of FOOD and EATING DISORDERS! What are the odds that Ceres would also be stationary and therefore magnified in importance on the same day that Saturn stopped and the president signed this historic legislation? The Ceres-Saturn association in astrology is very much that of Mother-Father. Even though traditionally the Moon is equated with the universal mother force, it appears that Ceres has powerful ties to the concept of both Mother Earth/Nature and physical attributes or qualities of one’s actual mother. A big force in this entire drama is Mary Schindler – Terri’s mother – and her unwavering support of her daughter and continuous efforts (whether right or wrong) to keep FEEDING HER DAUGHTER!
  
  [Note: You will see Ceres in Gemini – like Jupiter – in the sixth house of health/illness in the February 25, 1990 chart. Its precise location – 22+ Gemini – puts it on a collision course with the USA Mars (21+ Gemini) and the USA Neptune (22+ Virgo). Earlier I indicated that Mars and Neptune are complicit in fanatical religious, spiritual and idealistic crusades. Now we see that the Ceres placement from the start of the Terri Schiavo medical crisis back in 1990 was already triggering exactly America’s notorious, chaotic and illusory Mars-Neptune square. There are also echoes of the ancient Ceres-Persephone-Pluto mythological triangle here – concerning Pluto’s abduction of Persephone, her going into the underworld, and themes of death, disappearance, hibernation and rebirth. Mary and Robert Schindler have definitely seen Michael Schiavo as a Plutonic figure for many years – someone they believe has gained a lot of malpractice money (shadow side of Pluto) and acts in a cold, controlling (Pluto) manner to their daughter.]
  
  Notice that the New Moon itself from February 25, 1990 was located at 6+ Pisces. Why is this degree so crucial? Last spring Uranus made an extended station at 6+ Pisces. It just returned there in the last few weeks of February 2005 as this case gathered in momentum leading to the current shock waves (Uranus) moving through all three branches of our government (very rare) and what we might consider the “nervous system” (think Mercury and Uranus here) of the nation – newspapers, magazines, radio, television, the web, the public consciousness. Uranus will return to 6+ Pisces in November 2005 and be within 1/3 of a degree to the February 25, 1990 New Moon.
  
  The Lunar Nodal Axis from February 25, 1990 is located at the middle degrees of Aquarius-Leo. The Moon’s Nodes connect to destiny, fate and also the public arena. Transiting Neptune (with all its imaginative, psychic, visual, collective and emotional power) is crisscrossing this North Node in 2005 – having already reached the same degree last year in the build-up to this judicial/medical “national spectacle.” There are many other factors that could be discussed concerning this chart, but let’s move on to the Bush signing.
  
  The reason I have mentioned Jupiter’s station at 0 degrees and 49 minutes of Cancer from February 25, 1990 is that when the president signed the legislation on March 21, 2005, the transiting Sun reached 0 degrees and 44 minutes of Aries. Here we witness the direct and EXACT clash/square of the Sun (solar life force representing the will of the U.S. Congress and President) and the Jupiter-in-Cancer placement from February 1990 (Terri’s eating disorder that created her brain damage that has led to the feeding tube over all these years to keep her alive).
  
  However, what is truly astounding is that (A) Pluto is precisely rising at 24+ Sagittarius and (B) Jupiter is precisely at the Midheaven at 15+ Libra! We have dealt with both of these planets throughout this article. One could not have a clearer symbolism here of what is at stake – the right-to-die issue (Pluto rising) and all the extreme volatility that this brings up, and the need to do things according to what the court system (Jupiter AND Libra, too, as the scales of balance) has determined as the final arbiter within our system of government.
  
  We even have a remarkable astrological progression going on. If you use the regular method of Secondary Progressions for the New Moon chart from February 25, 1990, you will find that Mars has now progressed to 0+ Aquarius. This is exactly where transiting Mars was located as the president signed the legislation! Remember that brain damage (Mars) due to lack of oxygen in the blood (Mars) reaching the head area (Mars) is the entire initiating cause of this medical crisis and its national extension. You will also see that Mars was closing in on a conjunction with Chiron (wounded healer and dealing with pains that are very difficult to eradicate) in early Aquarius – a zodiacal region almost exactly 150-degrees (an awkward, often health-related aspect) to Jupiter at 0+ Cancer from February 25, 1990. Today – as Terri Schiavo’s condition deteriorates and the fight to save her life and re-insert the feeding tube may be nearing a close or shift to higher courts – the transiting Mars-Chiron union has become exact.
  
  In closing this time, I want to call your attention to two fascinating topics. The first one has to do with the planetary stations occurring from last Saturday to this coming Saturday March 26. It appears that the Terri Schiavo case has hijacked the country’s attention since last Friday (when her feeding tube was removed) – turning all this into (pardon the pun) a feeding frenzy within the media. Last Friday was within 24 hours of the Mercury retrograde station. Mercury rules over breathing, the lungs, cognition and language. One of the primary reasons that Terri Schiavo’s parents are fighting to save the life of their daughter is that they believe she is communicating (Mercury) with them – even though it is a communication that most doctors and her husband Michael believe is minimal or insignificant. Therefore, much of the activity over the weekend had to do with the question of whether Terri was really in a true “persistent vegetative state” or not, and whether she has the capability to improve her communication skills (Mercury) over time.
  
  Then we had the simultaneous Ceres (food; parent-child relationship; eating disorders) and Saturn (authority figures; chronic illness; right and wrong timing) stations on March 21 as the U.S. House of Representatives voted to send a bill to the president which President Bush then signed only about an hour later.
  
  The next station – that is building up now, Thursday and Friday – is Pluto stopping at 24+ Sagittarius on Saturday March 26. It will begin retrograde motion until it halts on September 2, 2005 and goes forward again. Therefore, this entire week is a build-up to a very intense weekend when Pluto will seize the national and global spotlight in so many extreme and provocative ways.
  
  But this brings up the final discussion point for now. I started thinking about numerology and the first letter of Terri’s name -- the letter “T.” In numerology, the first letter of the first name is considered the cornerstone. When people call you by your first name, the first sound is linked to this letter. It is a VIBRATION in the air and that affects your being and consciousness.
  
  I have studied numbers and numerology as long as I have studied astrology. This is 32+ years and counting. I was fortunate to purchase a book in 1977 when I lived at the Findhorn Community in Northern Scotland. That book is called The English Alphabet: An Inquiry into Its Mystical Construction. It was written by Robert M. Hoffstein and published by Kaedmon Publishing Company in New York City. I don’t know whether the book is still in print or not. It is one of my most treasured volumes.
  
  Robert Hoffstein explains that English is really based on Hebrew and that every letter of our alphabet connects back to a Hebrew letter. However, because Hebrew was a PICTORIAL alphabet, our English letters – like numbers in numerology – have QUALITIES, ENERGIES and shall we say IMAGINATIVE POWERS. Our English letter “T” (the 20th in our alphabet) links back to the ninth letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
  
  Now “T” is very close to a visual image of the kind of CROSS Jesus was crucified on. Hoffstein actually says in his book that the letter “T” suggests a mark or cross. A sentence or two later he uses the phrases “cross road” and a “point of departure.” And if you look at the lower case version (“t”), the idea of a cross is also clearly indicated.
  
  The reason this is important NOW is that – oddly enough – this weekend when Pluto makes its station and this entire medical storm may reach its full fury or cessation just happens to be EASTER! Therefore, the energy of the coming weekend is centered around the crucifixion and death of Jesus on a cross (Good Friday March 25 – day before Pluto station) and the transfiguration and resurrection of Jesus (Easter Sunday March 27 – day after Pluto station). As this is happening, a woman with the first name of Terri is capturing all the national headlines.
  
  In addition, consider some key words with the letter “T.” “Christ” ends with that letter. Words like “theology,” “thou,” “thine” and “truth” – connecting to higher and invisible levels of being and consciousness – have the “t” energy very strong. In Greek mythology, sleep and death were considered brothers and their names were “Hypnos” and “Thanatos.” From these names we get our current “hypnotism” (to be in a sleep-like condition) and even “euthanasia” – a noun, meaning “the act or practice of putting to death painlessly, especially in order to release from incurable suffering.” Wow! Do you see how the power of “T” and the first letter of Terri’s name are synchronistic with the build-up of what’s happening this week (the divine, life-death and crossing over keynotes of “T”) as we near the Pluto station and Easter “holy day”? Even the words “Easter” and “Pluto” have the letter “t” in them.
  
  In conclusion, perhaps Hamlet’s famous soliloquy is appropriate regarding Terri Schiavo’s life and death. To be or not to be – that is the question. Notice how many “t’s” are in that Shakespearean quotation. Even “feeding Tube” and “Television” are bringing us the dramatic Turning point and cross road of Terri’s life.

  Important Note: One of the main reasons that courts have chosen so far NOT to intrude in this case is that if they were to set a precedent here, what would happen to the thousands (tens of thousands?) of other people with brain damage, having feeding tubes and life-support systems in hospitals around the nation? If one court changes the rule or law regarding Terri Schiavo, it will have VAST and COMPLEX (think Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto here!) repercussions throughout the country, the medical field, religious-philosophical-ethical realms, insurance companies and industry, financial world, family-wise and regarding marriage. And if this were to happen this week – with Mercury, Ceres, Saturn and Pluto stations simultaneously occurring – who knows what kind of havoc this will create in American society?
  
  Postscript Wednesday: Thanks to one of our Earth Aquarius News subscribers based in Florida, we now have the birth date and year for Terri Schiavo. It is December 3, 1963. The time is unknown and a third chart below is now given -- using a symbolic Sun rising chart. By the way, her birth data is on the terrisfight.org web site. I was there this morning when I did initial research for the article, but did not see a small link offering her birth month, day and year. One astounding tie-in is that her birth placement of Ceres is within 1 degree of the current station of Ceres at 25 Scorpio. In several sections of the above article, I explain the connection between Ceres and food, eating disorders, and the parent-child relationship (especially mother-child relationship). Now we see an even more remarkable linkage in time and space -- that the extreme activities of the past 6 days are strongly associated with Ceres. And let us not forget, it is Ceres placed in SCORPIO -- traditional sign of death, mysteries, secrets and the unknown. By the way, in utilizing the Sabian Symbols of the 360 degrees of the zodiac -- as interpreted by Dane Rudhyar in his book, An Astrological Mandala -- the 25th degree of Scorpio is symbolized as "an X-Ray photograph." This seems very appropriate in that we are dealing with a medical crisis brought on by an eating disorder and possible potassium deficiency that stopped Terri's heart and created the brain damage putting her in this untenable situation.
  
  You can also now see that transiting Neptune at 16+ Aquarius this month is exactly squaring her natal Neptune at 16+ Scorpio, and her natal Saturn at 17+ Aquarius will be hit by the station of Neptune in the sky during April-May-June 2005. Even if Terri passes away in the very near future, her case and life experience will be affecting thousands of people throughout the year ahead.
  
  The Moon in Cancer at her birth reminds us of the entire food and eating disorder themes, and family-centered struggles. If she was born in the afternoon, the transiting Saturn station of March 21, 2005 would have just precisely hit her Moon placement. The natal Jupiter placement at 9+ Aries is also very significant as the giant planet will stop in June at 9 Libra within 1 degree of an opposition of this point in her birthchart.
  
  Terri was born just 11 days after the assassination of President Kennedy. At the assassination, there was an absolutely precise Pythagorean Triangle -- composed of Mercury at 9+ Sagittarius, Jupiter at 9+ Aries and Uranus at 9+ Virgo. This is a triangle composed of a square (90 degrees), trine (120 degrees) and inconjunct (150 degrees). It is considered a Pythagorean figure because that ancient sage had much to say philosophically about the spiritual meaning of a 3-4-5 triangle. The three aspects mentioned above become reduced to the numbers 3, 4 and 5 when you study this type of unusual triangle in geometry. It is considered a sacred symbol of Man (3), Woman (4) and Child (5). There are other levels of meaning -- like Spirit, Soul and Body -- but I think you get the idea.
  
  In Terri's chart, the Pythagorean Triangle from the JFK assassination is present once again. However, now the Sun (10+ Sagittarius) has replaced Mercury in the equation! Jupiter and Uranus both made stations in December 1963 -- following the Kennedy assassination -- and so hold the same positions on November 22 and December 3, 1963. Pythagorean Triangles are not easily analyzed. Obviously, the celestial bodies involved (Sun, Jupiter and Uranus for Terri), the signs of the zodiac (Sagittarius, Aries and Virgo) and natal houses (still unknown for Terri) will play a huge role in determining a wise interpretation. For the moment, let us realize that her birth is close in time to one of the most secretive, mysterious events of the 20th century -- a puzzle that may never be solved, just like Terri's life and the purpose of her incarnation may never be really understood.
  
  I may decide to write a Part II on this story if events warrant it over the next few days. I have also been given a November 10, 1984 marriage date for Terri and Michael in Pennsylvania by our subscriber in Florida. If this is correct, it is very profound as the Sun and Saturn are exactly conjunct at 19 Scorpio with Ceres directly opposite at 19 Taurus! Furthermore, the recently discovered distant planet Sedna -- more than twice as far from the Sun as Pluto -- is currently located at 19 Taurus (right on their marriage Ceres placement and opposite their Sun-Saturn conjunction) and Sedna's cycle around the zodiac takes around 10,500 years! So, the odds that Sedna would be deeply involved now with the marriage chart of Terri and Michael Schiavo is rather explosive and shocking.
  
  Part of Sedna's mythology connects back to abuse, restrictions on her movements, and deep-seated pains and wounds. Sedna is a goddess from Inuit mythology and has a powerful connection with Arctic symbology. The coldness and chill regarding connections between Terri's parents and Terri's husband may be associated with the newly, reawakened power of Sedna and how it is affecting the Terri-Michael marriage in its possible last days.

  Postscript 2 Thursday:Thanks again to our Florida subscriber, we now have Michael Schiavo's month, day and year of birth. This comes from a web site devoted to celebrity marriages -- the web site is at www.marriage.about.com and there is a section on the Schiavos.
  
  Michael Schiavo was born on April 3, 1963 in Levittown, PA (time unknown). This web site also confirms the marriage date (see previous postscript from yesterday) of November 10, 1984. Therefore, two more charts are included below -- providing 5 charts in all for our study. Here are a few brief comments on Michael Schiavo's chart and some connections to Terri's chart.
  
  They are born exactly 8 months apart (April 3 and December 3, 1963). Their Suns (in fire signs) are closely trine (a flowing, harmonious pattern). Their Mercury placements are widely trine and both in fire signs. They have an exact sextile of 60 degrees between their Venus placements (Pisces for Michael and Capricorn for Terri). They also both have Mars in fire signs (Leo for Michael and Sagittarius for Terri). If you add the fact that Michael is born with Venus rising before his Sun (Venus as a morning star) and that Terri is born with Venus rising after her Sun (Venus as an evening star), all of the above gives us a strong sense that at least during the first 5+ years of their marriage (before Terri's collapse on February 25, 1990) they had some powerful, supportive celestial influences going on relative to traditional methods of tracking astrological synastry.
  
  However, none of this changes the fact that they married in 1984 on the one day of the year of a Sun-Saturn conjunction in Scorpio. Ouch! This suggests a lot of "old karma" affecting them from past lives together (?) and the extreme ordeals that would ensue at some point in their wedded life. Obviously, the Sun-Saturn union -- combined with Ceres (food and feeding issues) exactly opposite in Taurus -- reached a critical point on February 25, 1990 when Terri collapsed, suffered brain damage and began her 15-year medical crisis.
  
  It is also amazing to me that Terri and Michael have the asteroid Juno (strongly associated with marriage relationships and issues of empowerment or disempowerment in love ties) conjunct an outer planet. Terri is born with a Juno-Neptune union in Scorpio -- that is also part of a Pythagorean Triangle linking Saturn in Aquarius, and the Moon in Cancer. [I shared previously in this feature about the mysterious pattern of a Pythagorean Triangle for Terri. Now we see another one of these figures in her chart -- although the exact Moon placement for her is still unknown.] Michael is born with a Juno-Pluto union in Virgo, and this conjunction in his chart is part of a larger Grand Trine and Kite symbology including Neptune in Scorpio, Chiron in Pisces, and Pallas in Cancer. Picking up on the intense Juno themes that each one of them has, we notice that in the marriage chart Juno at 26+ Virgo and Venus at 26+ Sagittarius are PRECISELY square -- and therefore the experience of marriage would inevitably become entangled in all kinds of problems. The reality that this Venus-Juno exact square is also igniting Terri's natal Mercury-Mars union (26-28 Sagittarius) is probably synchronistic with the 15+ years of inter-family squabbling, lawsuits, charges and counter-charges, and this final series of court challenges and animosity.
  
  Now that we have the solar charts (symbolic sunrise type maps) for Terri and Michael many of the missing pieces of the puzzle to this provocative story have been found. If the times of birth for both of them are ever located, this will assist us even further. [An additional stand-out feature of Terri Schiavo's chart for the day of her birth is that there is a nearly exact T-Square Triangle -- composed of Chiron at 10+ Pisces, Uranus at 10+ Virgo and the Sun at 10+ Sagittarius. This is true no matter what her birth time is. This is now an additional triangle formation to what I have shared previously. And transiting Uranus -- during May, June and July -- will station on top of the Chiron placement exactly -- igniting the dynamic energies of the cosmos that are a vital part of Terri Schiavo's higher mission in this lifetime. In medical astrology, the Sun represents the heart, Uranus connects to the nervous system, and Chiron may have something to do with left-right brain coordination or lack of it when afflicted.]
  
  The marriage web site also suggests an approximate time of 5:30AM EST for Terri's collapse on February 25, 1990. I have reviewed this information and it is pretty astounding. It would place Pluto in Scorpio (death-rebirth issues) near the Midheaven, 8 Aquarius rising, and -- most telling -- Uranus, Neptune, Mars, Saturn and Venus ALL in the twelfth house (that rules hospitalization, victimization and confinement -- when negative). If you attempt to rectify this chart to 5:12AM EST, then Pluto is PRECISELY overhead and 2 Aquarius is rising. The 2 Aquarius Ascendant means that the Mars-Chiron union of this past week has been striking the exact horizon for when Terri collapsed 15 years ago. Mars-Chiron unions can only occur around every two years, but in different places in the zodiac. Mars represents the blood stream, head area of the body, brain damage, volatility, anger and warfare. Chiron stands for the wounded healer, focusing on wounds and pains that are difficult if not impossible to eliminate, and the higher spiritual laws and truths at work in any event and situation happening on Earth.
  
  A key thought for now: It is supremely clear that with four celestial stations since last Saturday (Mercury, Ceres, Saturn and Pluto -- this Pluto one to occur this coming Saturday), the constant "NO!" being heard by all the courts involved is a consistent, celestial drumbeat, and an example of planets stopping and denying any further resolution of this case by the American judicial system. The U.S. Supreme Court and another Florida court have chimed in today with additional denials and this will probably keep happening no matter what Terri's parents and lawyers try to do in the next few days. It appears that Terri's fate is now sealed, but -- you know what? -- if the Soul and Spirit are REAL (and I believe they absolutely are), then if it is right for Terri as a spiritual being to take one last hold of her body, brain and vocal chords for even a second or two, we might see a miracle through vivid response and articulation before her death (if cameras are recording her last days in the hospice room). And if not, then it probably means her passing now is for the highest good after 15 long and torturous years. If religiously-inclined individuals want to be true to their faith and belief in heaven and the after-life and a spiritual kingdom, why are they so afraid of Terri the soul and spirit moving onward and upward?
  
  To add a closing editorial comment (that I usually try to avoid doing), it does increasingly appear extremely inappropriate for the media, the right-to-life religious movement, Terri Schiavo's parents and lawyers, Governor Jeb Bush of Florida and assorted national lawmakers to be attempting to undermine all the serious, hard work of the Florida court system for well over a decade. While their hearts may be in the right place and their emotions stirred by Terri's plight, there are somewhere around 38,000 other people in Terri's type of brain-damaged condition in U.S. hospitals and hospices. By seeing ONLY TERRI'S FACE and VIDEOS on the television screens 24/7 for the last week -- and not the 38,000 other people afflicted -- the American public is being given a distorted view of the issues, ethics and philosophical basis for what is actually going on. The polls out today have indicated that around 82% of the public feel the U.S. Congress and President Bush have acted inappropriately. And even over 70% of Conservatives and Republicans -- normally in support of states' rights and judicial restraint (rather than activism) -- believe our national legislators and executive branch have been way off course with their rush to save one woman's life when the entire court system has already made its decisions known over and over again. Trust among all branches of government is important in our republic and -- in particular -- the Republican leadership in the U.S. Senate and House need to utilize this Mercury retrograde cycle to really review and re-evaluate their motives and misuse of political willpower.
  
  Late-Breaking Report on Thursday March 31: Terri Schiavo died at 9:05AM EST in Pinellas Park, Florida today. The chart for the exact time is posted below as the fifth chart in this article. The chart for the death of anyone can speak to us about what the individual accomplished in life and what their legacy may be for the future. Some keynotes are as follows.
  
  Ceres (relating to food, nurturing and eating disorders) is in the sixth house of health/illness. Transiting Ceres at her death is exactly conjunct Ceres at her birth! As explained earlier in this feature, the symbol for this degree is an "x-ray photograph." This seems very significant and bulimia is a serious illness that apparently caused her heart to stop back in February 1990 leading to her brain damage. Perhaps in death, Terri Schiavo's struggle with an eating disorder -- that afflicts so many people in heart-breaking ways -- will shed light on solutions to this major health problem.
  
  You will also see Neptune as the most elevated planet within 2 degrees of the Midheaven. Neptune connects with the widespread confusion, national and global controversy, and spiritual/religious energy concerning her right-to-live or right-to-die. You may also see that the Mercury/Pluto midpoint is within 1 degree of the Midheaven. America was born on July 4, 1776 with Mercury retrograde opposite Pluto retrograde. President George W. Bush is born with Mercury-Pluto rising and conjunct. Mercury linking with Pluto can easily represent extremes in communications (in which our national media went overboard on this case for the last two weeks), mysterious illness, and even the death process itself. In mythology, Hermes/Mercury brought the souls of the dead to Hades/Pluto!
  
  It is also significant that Terri passed away during the monthly Moon-Pluto union. Pluto, of course, connects with death-rebirth, the unknown, secrets, the underworld, and the Moon stands for the public or mass consciousness. And let's not forget that Terri -- born on December 3, 1963 -- is a Sun-sign Sagittarius. Therefore, the transiting Moon had just crossed over her Sun in the past 24 hours.
  
  The global impact of Terri's ordeal is represented by her death at the Superior Conjunction of Sun and Venus. This is an astronomical line-up in space of Earth, the Sun and Venus (on the far side of the Sun). This type of alignment only occurs every 18+ months and this one happened within 1 degree of her natal Jupiter (the courts and legal system!). The Sun-Venus union in Aries was also almost exactly trining (120 degrees and flowing) her natal Sun in Sagittarius. In many ways, she gains a kind of immortality and heroism by passing away at such a potent time cycle.
  
  The large number of celestial bodies above the horizon suggests the enormous impact Terri's life and death will have on millions of people around the world -- concerning nutrition, living wills and greater openness within families about the entire subject of the invisible realms, spiritual life, the after-death state, and so on.
  
  The Venus/Saturn midpoint was almost precisely rising when she died. Clearly, this reflects her sad end -- that has depressed and upset (think Saturn here) millions of people who felt it was horrible how she died. This midpoint also suggests the chronic disability that destroyed her life during the past 15 years. [From her collapse in February 1990 to her death in March 2005, Saturn moved exactly half way through the zodiac. Saturn rules all chronic medical and health conditions.] Terri was born with Venus at 5+ Capricorn -- a zodiacal sign ruled by Saturn -- and the March 25 Full Moon was located at 5+ Aries-Libra. This intensive lunation -- known in esoteric circles as the Shamballa Festival (in which the Will-of-God energy is stepped down into humanity) -- exactly triggered her natal Venus in a frictional 90-degree aspect.
  
  Finally, there was an almost exact Grand Trine at her passing composed of the Ascendant (1 Gemini), Pallas Athena (1 Libra and representing the Immune System, brain power, and the thinking capacity of any person), and Chiron (2+ Aquarius and symbolizing healing old wounds and pains, and building bridges of higher consciousness between the personality and soul).
  
  The universality of her plight and the far-reaching influence of her life-death struggle are represented by the strong presence of celestial bodies in the eleventh house (the Aquarian domain), and that passionate and disturbing union of the fast-moving Moon with the slow-moving, cold and distant Pluto.
